Swirl Platter (13" W x 2.5" H)

An ash glazed serving plate created as a gift for my father. All glazes were applied via spray gun. 'Swirls' on the interior of the platter result from a slight indentation that is created by slowly dragging my finger from the center of the piece to it's outside wall while the piece turned on the wheel. The resulting indentation allows a place for glaze to collect during firing.
