"Sometimes they don't say much of anything. Just meanderings about sports or family or whatever comes to mind - like wondering what prompts a friend from the sixth grade to track you down after twenty years or how I ended up doing pottery in a field on the third anniversary of nine eleven with helicoptors landing 100 yards away."

I created this piece while participating in a small town festival in Independence, MN. It represents several different lines of thought - responding to questions about what a pot says, retelling the story of two friends that tracked me down after 20 years, and simply looking around at the cornfield I was sitting in as I worked - blissfully surreal. ;)
